Circa 1840, English porcelain Staffordshire quill pen holder depicting a confetti coleslaw nest with a dove protecting 2 hatchlings from a snake. The inkwell has one hole for the quill and is in excellent condition. Any imperfections are firing flaws, typical of early Staffordshire pieces. Measures about 2.5" high and 2.75" diameter.
