Japanese silver mascot cane-Ca. 1890-Sizeable silver knob chased and engraved in high relief and very fine detail with an encircling dragon on the side and a round shield with traditional Fu calligraphy inscriptions conveying wishes of good luck and long life on the top. This is an extremely heavy, awesome, bronze age harpoon from Northern India dating to circa 1500 BC. This magnificent piece weighs 996 grams and measures roughly 304mm in length. It has a fantastic patina and no signs of damage or repair. I am listing four of these harpoons this week and this is the heaviest of the bunch. Don't miss out on this incredible find.

This is a really great frog themed walking stick. This stick is dated 1894 with a silver collar and red glass eyes. This stick also has an ebony shaft and a metal ferrule. This stick measures 36" x 4" x 1". The handle itself is 1 1/2" x 4" x 1". The collar is 2" and the ferrule is 1". Such an awesome stick!

A lovely high quality flintlock pistol with 2-staged barrel in brass, London marks, made by Bate, late 18th. cent.

An English sterling silver curb link watch chain with an escutcheon shape medal or award fob. The 14 3/8" length antique watchchain has individual lion passant marks and the watch swivel has the company mark of Henry Williamson Ld (known 1895 - ?). This is not my area of specialty so I will attempt a best description. The smoking pipe is of Meerschaum, (for the German "sea foam"), actually the mineral sepiolite. Since the 1720's, the mineral, found mostly in Turkey, has been used in the fashioning of ornately carved smoking pipes. The mineral has been described as soft enough to carve yet hard enough to polish. The fad for such smoking implements reached a peak in Victorian times...

This is a great carved bone frog stick. The frog features wonderful details and glass eyes. The stick measures 35" x 4 1/4" x 1" overall. The handle itself is 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 1". The collar is 1/4" and the ferrule is 1 1/2".

This relic of a horse saddle was dug up in the southwester dessert area of southern California roughly 50+ years ago. Because of the style of the pummel it looks more Mexican than Western. How long it was buried is an open question...
