Jalisco Pottery Ameca Female Figure. Mexico. Circa. 200 B.C. – 100 A.D. 7 5/8” x 6” . Need more sizes. Hollow pottery example. A medium seated Ameca style female figure, cream slip surface with traces of black painted decoration. Mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Repaired form approximately six original pieces, left arm retached with breakline clearly visible with loss along breakline.

Very attractive sculpturing in redish clay.

Condition: Choice for type and culture, a long hairline repaired crack through the vessel, othervise intact in all it's parts. Vicüs vessels are usually always cracked and this an honest piece that could be restored so that this crack is not visible with little effort...
This is an extremely interesting artifact. It has quadruple imagery. The figures almost resemble a northwest totem. There is a different image when you turn the face upside down. There is also double imagery to the faces on the side. The same face is repeated at both ends of the stick. A lot of thought and work went into this beauty. The paint is very bold and strong. It is extremely well patinated. Carved from wood, it is 14 1/2" long...
Impressive pottery stamp seal carved with 4 birds (Flamingos?) over a geomethric panel, Pre-Columbian, Chancay, 12th.-15th. century AD.
The stamp is completely intact and massive! There's a projecting spike on the back.

This ceramic warrior is in the process of throwing a rock with another in his hand and a basket full on his back. It is from the estate of the late Lynn Langdon. The figure was acquired in Mexico in the mid-20th century and is attributed to the Colima horizon, c.300BC-300AD. It is 4" tall. It retains some red pigment. Condition: Nice Very fine, hairline closed crack in the body and some light chipping of edges, othervise complete and intact.
