Hohokam carved red basalt effigy big horn sheep ca. 650 ad. No Restoration, In as found condition with excellent ground deposits. The Hohokam seemed to use the red basalt for stone ceremonial effigies and objects but the red basalt was harder and rarer for them to find than the black basalt. This is a fine carved effigy of a big horn sheep which the Hohokam prized due to most likely how hard they were to hunt and kill. I would imagine you were at the top of the hunting game to bag a big horn...

This is one of the most fascinating and unique artifacts I have ever seen. The axe is 5 1/2" from top to bottom and the handle is 7". The handle has been broken off in antiquity at the end which is a plus for me because you can see the internal cross section of the wood. The haft is completely fossilized (84% calcium carbonate). A rare large pictorial beaded Iroquois animal whimsey, circa 1890. Depicting what looks like a mythological deer or elk figure. A great folk art piece. One of the largest and most spectacular whimseys known. With a great sculptural relief, and beaded in white, blue, green, copper, light tan, numerous beaded suspensions with tubular beads, sequins. Excellent Condition. 11 1/8" wide; 12 1/2" tall; 15 3/8" tall (w/suspensions).

This is the finest miniature Olmec jade maskette that I have ever seen. The beard is a particularly noteworthy feature. Many bearded figures are known from the Olmec culture and are seen on a variety of media. It measures only 1 1/2" long. It is mildly scooped in the back. Found in a dig in Veracruz, Mexico in 1966. It is made from one of the most beautiful pieces of jade that I have seen. It is extremely translucent. It is thin and lightweight. Look at how evenly the jade is distributed...

This red cedar mask was found by S.C. Dellinger in 1935. It is 2 3/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The patina is gorgeous. Never seen on the market. Another will never come along.

Colima Archaic Warrior holding a club-Standing in a fluid motion-like filled position with arms raised at the ready at the ready holding a club. A spread feather –like attachment is strapped to the back with straps that chris cross the chest. Applied donut circular eyes typical of the archaic style. A pair of very nice ancient fragmentary pottery heads from late La Tolita culture / early Guangala in present day Ecuador, c. 200 BC-500 AD!

Both likely male dignitaries, one of them with with large earspools. The head to the left is chewing coca leaves!

Sizable heads, measure up to 12 cm inc. the stand, 6-7,3 cm. for the heads alone.
