Attic red-figure askos decorated with a dog and a panther crouching on the domed top. The animals face the spout and are seen with one foreleg raised.
The panther has turned the head towards the viewer and shows a spotted coat.
The shallow vessel shows a low dome-shaped top, the small flaring spout raises obliquely from the shoulder; overarching handle. The flat base reserved with a tiny mold on the edge.

This piece features a grapevine design around the perimiter with the highlight being the artisan signature on the bottom of the p;iece. 2 5/8" tall by 7 5/8" across the handles. A group of two authentic deeply formed pottery molds, used to create appliques for larger vessels. The larger of the two measures 4" in length and the interior depth is just under 1". The second measures 3" in length and the interior depth is 1/2". Both molds will come with rubberized molded impressions, as seen in the photos.
