Black-glazed kylix of Ionian shape with a steep bowl and offset rim. The slightly tilted handles attached on the shoulder. The widening foot with flat resting surface.
The outside of the rim and the handle zone are reserved, as well as the small band inside the lip.
The type originates from Eastern Greece and was widely exported and soon enough copied in Athens and Greek South Italy.

She is standing in fine romes with the mural crown headdress and veiled, playing on a tympanum.

Rare Apulian kalathos with cylindrical body widening to a flared mouth. The rim set off by incised grooves, the foot with three rounded ridges. The inside of the base with a red wash.
Decorated with brown glaze shading to black. The finger marks just above the ring foot show that the vessel was dipped into the glaze.
The kalathos is a vase associated to the female sphere and stands for abundance and fertility...

An interesting pair of ancient Greek wheel-made pottery lamps in orange clay, dating to 4th-1st cent AD.

Both lamps with a central, conical tube. The concave rim turned inwards and rounded short nozzles with large wick holes. Old collection tags on both pieces

Size: 5 & 6 cm across at the nozzle.

Condition: Choice and intact lamps with wear for type and age.

Head of an antique Lady carved in high relief. Given the thickness, it is likely to be a fragment of a sarcophagus. It is a Roman or a Greek.The quality is fine, the carving is precise, the finish is neat and the marble has a beautiful patina, but I think it is a 19th century creation in the style of the antique. The fragment is mounted on a green marble cube. Total height: 28cm, the fragment alone 20cm. Some chips on the base otherwise good condition.

Daunian krater with globular body and short funneled mouth. The vertical loop handles on the shoulder area alternate with two red colored stumps.
Brown-red linear decoration around the body, wavy lines at the handle area, hanging semicircles inside the funnel opening.
One handled reattached with bone glue, a medium that was in use until the 1950s.
