The tang has the classic 90 degree bend with knob on the end still intact. It measures nearly 25 cm in length and weighs 192 grams. It has a fantastic and lively patina. RED SLIP POTTERY OIL LAMP
CRUSADER PERIOD, 11TH CENT. AD

This type is referred to as “saucer lamps” or “beehive lamps”. The lamp is made from a wheel made bowl slightly pinched where the wick was placed with a small shallow bowl in the middle.

Hight: 4 cm

Condition: Intact as found, not repaired and not restored with remains of ancient paint pigments.
