A lovely greek pottery head of a female godess, likely Aphrodites, with intact neck and all detals preserved, Hellenistic period, 3rd.-2nd. century BC.

These heads was likely ritually broken in some cases and are not rare on the market, but this head are of much better quality and style than most heads for sale.

A thickbutted Danish neolithic axe dating to 3rd. mill BC.

The axe is polished on the sides. The shape is slightly asymmetrical, indicating that it might have been mounted as an adze.

The edge is sharp and could be used even today if mounted on a shaft.

Size is 15 cm - c. 6 inches.

Condition: Nearly superb with just i tiny chip to edge. Very nice grey / beige patina.

A rare and lovely Scaraboid stamp seal in a pink stone, Assyrian, ca. 12th.-10th. century AD.

The shape emulates the Egyptian scarabs from the period, but made in a rare pink hardstone and with a typical later Assyrian stylized design of the seal plate.

A very interesting and rare Scaraboid seal of the Phoenician type, ca. 800-600 BC.

The seal of perfect high scaraboid shape with a low relief stamp of a war elephant engraved in the seal plate. Horisontically pierced for mounting. Extremely rare shiny greenstone used, perhaps a Fluorite, semi-transperant with cloudy green inclusions. Finely patinated and weathered.

Size: 15 x 13 x 10 mm.

The ring with a thick ring and oval bezel, which is engraved with an interesting relief engraving of structures or perhaps an ancient form of writing.

The panels with extraordinary depictions of a gender-based division of labor.
The hunting scene shows a naked man with a spear grasping at a bird hidden behind a large ivy leaf which may represent the forest grove.
On the other side a woman with diminutive head and outstretched arms. Assuming that plants are denoted by contouring dots, she is standing next to three trees in her garden.
Figural depictions on this type of pottery are rare...

Eros leans on an oval shield which rests on a square altar. The chubby god of love is shown with crossed leg, both arms rest on an oval shield with broad border.
The oval face absorbed in thought, parted hair with wavy strands, all surmounted by a stippled wreath. The wings are omitted. Superb modeling. Traces of a white coat remain.
