An early pale yellow-green mold blown bottle of mallet shape. The conical neck with two narrow rings at the top and a knop-like bulge at the bottom. At the shoulder of the bottle is a molded brown tinted circle. The bottle body is decorated with three raised circular reserves, each with a flower within, and surrounded by radiating leaves.

This very rare bottle has survived its long burial without damage...

Boeotian terracotta satyr reclining in lascivious pose. His right elbow is propped up on the couch, the right hand rests on the bent knee. The upright head with snub nose, goatee beard and pointed ears.
The potbellied figure is depicted with a long scrotum and a large phallus resting over the left calf.

Ancient banded agate bead Roman - Persian 100 BC- 300 AD great condition. Size 15mm by 7 mm

The vessel features a reel-shaped body with stepped foot and a flange. The doomed top with the head of Medusa at center. Medusa is rendered with a round face and curls ending in snake heads.
The pyxis is made in one piece and open at the bottom. The piece was not intended for concrete use and served as richly decorated burial object.
The surface shows remains of the original white engobe with gilded areas.

A lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1800 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 1/2” long (13 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. This rare juglet type is typical of the form that was popular in Judea during the Iron Age II Period (circa 1000 - 586 B.C.). Nice design and beautiful coloring. This jug measures 3.5" tall. A wonderful lot of three very nice bronze antiquities!

Lot includes a lovely finial of a bronze rooster with a scorpios tail (!), quite unusual and beautifully sculptured for the medium, redish patina and 8,3 cm. tall. Another stylized rooster finial in bronze 5,5 cm., both Islamic Khorassan style, ca. 10th.-12th. century AD and a very interesting intact clasp in bronze with a finely modelled Lions mask on the front, still wearable today, 5,5 cm.
