A rare example blue and white dish with foliated rim, decorated with Dragon motive surrounded by continuous flower scrolls at inner wall and classic scrolls at rim. Song Dynasty, ca. 1000 /1100

These tall, slender offering jars with lids are well-potted and molded with dignitaries, dragons and horses, and covered with a thin bluish-toned clear glaze. The bluish areas are apparent where the glaze has pooled around the molded figures. The lids are likewise glazed and finished with a simple stylized swirl of clay. Fat lady was depicting the famous concubine, Yang Gu Fei, her asymetric coiffure is Duo Maji, 'just off horse look' with disheveled hairdo...

H: 22,3 cm. B : 12,4 cm. L : 18,5 Condition : No crack, no chip to the body but some glaze fritting which however is typical for such kind of ware.
