19th C. Japanese Meiji period Cloisonne Vase, Ca. 1880, colorful flower branches on the turquoise color enamel background with silver wire, 7 1/4" high, 3 1/8" wide-widest part, silver bottom and top rim, green enamel work inside the vase near the top and bottom. The condition is good, no damages.

One side is decorated with maple and cherry blossom among flowing water (known in Japanese as unkin) and the other side is chrysanthemums and flowing water (known as kikusui). A 3.5" vase of midnight blue depicting a pair of songbirds perched upon a branch of flowering prunus. Entirely silver wired, it has quite intricately wired rims and shoulder. The gilded base bears the seal of Ota Tamashiro
Condition: Excellent. No chips, hairlines or repairs.
Against a ground of sky blue, five silver wired red crowned cranes busily groom themselves on this basse-taille vase of 7.5".
Condition: Immediately above the silver base rim, there is a discolored hairline that extends two thirds around the vase, the slender neck bears an oxidized fault more visible than that at the base.

This is a very unusual Japanese Cloisonne vase that looks more like a porcelain blue and white vase. The vase has a mix of silver wire and wireless enamel work. The vase is heavy and has a nice glossy sheen. The rims have an unusual dark chocolate patina to them. It stands 9 5/8 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Overall condition is very good but there are two short lines in the narrow white area just above the scroll on the base.
A fine and rare 19th century Japanese cloisonne bi-fold table screen in the Kyoto school of Namikawa, depicting a ho bird and dragon. The finely coiled wiring is gilded, as are the back panels of the screen. Each cloisonne panel is wood framed, joined with hinges of silver. Fully opened, the screen measures 8" high and 9" wide.
Condition: Quite fine, with only wear commensurate with age.

Although this item could have been used as a sauce pot, it was probably intended for replenishing water for grinding ink on a calligrapher’s ink stone The interior and base are both enameled.
Good condition, no dents or losses however there is some characteristic pitting to the enamel.

One of the most uniquely designed cloisonne round boxes that I ever came across; this is so well done and is absolutely gorgeous, it is very well designed and intricate in the smallest details, the patina is a very lovely chocolate brown patina that is unretouched. A 10.8" square tray signed Teizan and sealed Kinzan, mid Meiji period, depicting an unfortunate encounter between a hawk and a goose.
Condition: Quite good overall condition, There is a faint nick and short enamel crack to the front of the tray, two small areas of enamel cracking to the reverse, and pitting usual to the period. No dents or restoration.
Enameled on this unsigned 3.75" silver bodied vase are a pair of snowy egrets, bamboo and a single butterfly.
Condition: There is a stable discoloration behind the bamboo, illustrated in the second photograph, also a hairline shown in the second photograph.
