This is a suo kamishimo ( top and bottom which were a formal kimono for samurai in Edo period ). The occasion when this suo kamishimo was worn is not clear ( ceremony or stage ). This suo kamishimo is made by hand-plied and hand-woven asa ( hemp ) cloth with bold tatewaku pattern which is katazome ( stencil-dyeing ). It has round bunches of asa threads for ornaments which are called "kiku-toji" or "kikuji". In excellent condition except for a small moth holes and a rip ( 11th and 12th photos )...

This is aya-Weave nishijin textile silk Bag of treasure in Edo period(1603-1867). It is very rare. There is rubbing in the part of the string. However, it is very good. It is beautiful aya-weave nishijin textile. There is a husk of cotton and the paddy in the inside. It recommends it for your collection. size:20cm x 19cm (7.87" x 7.48")

Sashiko stitched fabric. Tsutsugaki dyed cloth. Indigo background with red and white design. Two horizontal bands wrap around bottom of coat. Similar to reference work "Sumi Collection Hanten and Happi" coats on page 25. Used by firemen in late 19th century Japan to extinguish blazes. Hook and eye closure. Measures 49" sleeve to sleeve 49" long. Overall good condition, small wear on neck and side.

This is sashiko Indigo dye cotton noragi hanten at the Meiji era(1868-1912). There is a repair mark in the sleeve and the back. However, it is very good overall. I recommend it for your collection. size:120cm x 132cm (47.2" x 52")

Kasuri (ikat) panel remnant with design of chrysanthemums, butterflies, and geometric squares. Japan, ca. Meji Era, 1868-1912. H.7.5"(19cm) x W.11.75"(32cm,) small 1.5cm repair patch in center. This is a wonderful example of mingei craft with a very playful image. Butterflies exist in Japanese folk imagery, but are not so common. This piece would be lovely framed.

This is indigo dye sashiko noragi naga-hanten of Aomori Prefecture of the Meiji era(1868-1912). cotton seems to be hand spun and woven. All sashiko was stitched by the hand. It is very beautiful. There is neither stain nor damage. I recommend it for your collection. size:108cm x 118cm (42.5" x 46.5")

This is the one in the middle of Edo period. (1603-1867) Tsutsugaki textile of very valuable museum class. Tsutsugaki textile of museum class Rare It used it in the buddhist temple at the ceremony. Please look at the leaf of the lotus. The expression of the technology of the shadow is very wonderful. Moreover, it is very difficult to express the picture only of this in hemp. It is because hemp is not dyed easily. Tsutsugaki to make good use of this advanced exact technology is very rare...

This is Thick Indigo dye rare & Excellent asamai-shibori kimono in Edo period(1800-1868). All the designs that acting of the pine, the bamboo, and the plum tree is good are expressed by the technique of shibori. It is as beautiful as the picture. All 1shibori was done by the hand. This is Japanese yosegire Patchwork katazome jyuban Rare in Edo period. This jyuban does the patchwork with wonderful fabric such as itajime shiko-shibori katazome boshime yuzen in Edo period. It is very beautiful. There is damage in the part of the wave of the back and the chest. There is a little stain. However, it is very good overall. size:141cm x 123cm (55.5" x 48.4")

This is Japanese Indigo dye shibori Baby boro kimono meiji(1868-1912). Baby's indigo dye shibori kimono is rare. Textile seems to be hand spun and woven. It is thick indigo dye cotton. This is Meiji(1868-1912) benibana-dye yuzen cotton Child kimono. It is a design of flying pine, bamboo, plum tree, and crane and turtle. It is a design that acting is very good. This is Swan 's wing Weave haori coat very rare at the end of bakumatsu of Edo period(1852-1867). This was made in the Tohoku region. This is Edo kasuri child kimono echigo-jyofu Rare. It is wonderful, beautiful kasuri. The motif looks like amaryu (raining dragon). There are a little stain and a small hole. However, the state is very good. I recommends it for your collection. Textile seems to be hand spun and woven, and has soft touch. Echigo-jyofu was born in middle (749-756) on the age of Jomon. In it, latter term (1670-1780) was a season from the middle of Edo period...

This is very a haori coat of the patchwork of the paper and silk of the highest class in Edo period(1800-1867) . This is an item of a rare museum class. The print is massaged by the hand.
