Bronze okimono with excellent color and dark brown patina depicting a geisha signed Seiya sei. The scene depicts her walking on her geta dressed in an elegant kimono while she holds her fan aloft as a gesture of greeting. The kimono is embellished with a large obi that wraps around her pelvis and holds the pillow tightly behind her back...

Sensational bronze egret `Koro` incense burner from the Taisho Period C.1915. Used for the tea ceremony. Delicately balanced on two legs, the egret seems to bee feeding or looking for its feed. The movement in the sculpture is fantastic. In very good condition. Ask for shipping quote.

Late Meiji Japanese good size ceramic suiteki (water dropper for diluting ink used in painting and calligraphy) that can also serve as a brushrest, modeled as a large and a small pine cones growing together. Clever design, holes on top of cones for filling and dispensing water, very nice depiction of cone texture, brown glaze with gold enamel over it, in excellent condition. Marked with potter’s stamp on the bottom, appears to read SHUNZAN, but I am not entirely sure...

Japanese Meiji Period pair of bronze chickens. Unsigned. The cock is laying down and grooming its feathers while the standing hen look on. The hen measures 4" tall, 6" long and 2 1/4" wide. The cock is 2 3/8" tall, 5" long and 2 1/2" wide.

A Bizen stoneware figural study of Daikokuten with attributes including full face, large earlobes, smile, hat, bag of rice and mallet. Impressed signature cartouche. Good condition. Height, about 7 1/2 inches (19.05 cm). Length about 8 inches (20.32 cm).

A whimsical boxwood carving of a fisherman with look of shock on his face as an octopus crawls out of his basket and onto his head and shoulders. Japanese Imari Porcelain Double Gourd shape Vase, Ca. Meiji period, 1868-1912, 12" high, 1 3/8" diameter-top rim, 7" wide-widest section, 4" diameter-bottom rim, flying Phoenix bird and dragon inside four(4) separate round circles, and Mon design inside the top round circles, all decorate with typical overglaze red and underglaze blue, highlight in gold. Top rim has rough area with old tiny frit.

Very elegant porcelain vase from the Fukugawa kilns. The decoration of cranes in flight, a symbol of fidelity and courage, among clouds, adorns the entire perimeter of this vase in enamels of different colors above crashing waves.
