The Buddha's right hand is in the gesture of touching the earth (bhumisparsa mudra) and in his right hand he is holding a dish of food. Original dark patina, 18/19th Century, Burma. Good condition. Large Thai Sawankhalok round form covered stoneware box in the shape of a mangosteen fruit decorated in iron-black/brown glaze on a buff-colored ground with a zig-zag pattern on the lid and stylized scrolling vines on the bottom. Stem finial. 14th to 16th century. 4 3/4” diameter x 4” high. Very good overall condition. There is a tiny pinhead-sized flea bite on the bottom section at the edge of the rim (see image). The lid matches well and appears to be original...

A rare 3 Tical Brahmani duck or Old Mon Duck of the early style, Burma, c. 1480-1520 AD.

The bird finely incised on the wings and stands on a round base.

Weight: c. 39,17 grams = probably 3 Tical, which fits scale at the period of around 13 grams/unit. A very rare weigth!

Condition: Near Very fine, wear but a lovely brown and red patina, attractive!

Nice old Lahu bamboo woven basket (there is some rattan used in the bindings), from the Golden Triangle region in Northern Thailand. This is a genuine ethnic/tribal piece and not made for the tourist trade. There is a carrying strap that comes with this but it is not woven into the basket itself. The basket is in excellent condition while the strap has some brittleness where it folds. H: 22cm/8.5in and D: 23cm/9in.

Very large Burmese hammered repousse copper-brass-bronze alloy bowl with traces of silver, decorated with 8 relief panels of Elephants, a Buddhist Lion and several other animals as well as stylized foliage. Such bowls were primarily used in ceremonies. 19th Century. Good condition. Nice aged patina. Size: H. 16 cm. x 30 cm. diameter at center (H.6.5" x 12" diameter).

Nice old Thai sticky rice “lunch box”, from the Karen ethnic group Northern Thailand. This is about 40 or 50 tears old with typical double wall construction. There are areas that have been lovingly repaired with some nylon cord. To the purist this may be seen as a distraction but I see time and an ethic where nothing was ever wasted- this was a valued very personal object. Next to it I have placed a contemporary one...

A Martavan Jar made in Thailand or Burma with a cream glaze on the upper body over a reddish stoneware body, The lower half of the jar is not glazed, and there are two lugs on the jars' shoulder. The jar measures about 12 1/2" tall x 11" in diameter, and it is heavy, about 12 lbs. The Jar dates to the 16th/17th Century and was purchased in Indonesia. The condition is very good, but it has a very worn and pitted bottom commensurate with age...

A 18th century high quality Javanese Bronze figure of a Guardian with the atribute of snakes. A so called " Land - Bronze " I think that it might be possible to find out, how this special kind of Guardian ( because of the snakes ) is named. H : 8 cm.
