This is Japanese antique noragi katazome indigo-dyed cotton noragi from the Meiji era.（1868－1911） There is a thin dirt, but is not outstanding. The cuffs have minor damage. It is a very beautiful indigo dyed cotton. Size:: Length 58cm (22.8") Back Width 62cm (24.4").

The teapot is cast in bronze. The body has the shape of a melon and the spout that of a stylized bird. The handle supports have a typical shape for this period. The handle, which has now disappeared, must have been made of perishable materials, probably braided bamboo fibre. It is exceedingly rare to find a Chinese bronze teapot from this period. It is functional and perfectly pours the tea without uncontrolled drips. Good condition, the lid is crack (see photo), no restoration...

The vase is cast in one piece. Inspired by archaic Chinese bronze ritual vessels, it bears a Taotie mask decoration. This decoration is reduced to two narrow bands instead of occupying more space as usually on the bronzes of the Ming period, this more austere character, the slender shape and the patina with a much more antique aspect allows us to think so. older, probably from the Song period or earlier. This is a Japanese antique tsutsugaki big furoshiki indigo dye cotton. The traditional and very auspicious design of bamboo, plum, and scales is very beautiful and impressive.There are 5 pieces of cloth sewn together. Natural indigo dyed hand spun cotton. An antique Japanese Kansai Mizuya Tansu in 2 sections made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. Upper section features two sets of sliding doors with a set of 5 side by side drawers. Bottom section has 2 large sliding doors that open to a spacious storage area behind. Constructed using Japanese mortise and tenon joinery. Drawer handles are Hikute style made of hand forged iron.

19th century Chinese rock crystal seal blank of square section. All features seen in the stone are natural, no chips except for a small one by the base seen on Enlargement 2, left photo. Uncommon material for a seal, beautiful finish to the surface. Excellent object for scholar’s table. Height 1.63 inches, base 0.5 inches square.
