A Chinese censor table of classical style made of a hardwood called chicken-wing wood. The table dates to late 18th, early 19th Century. The table measures about 43" wide x 21" wide x 34" high. The condition is good, but the wood shows shrinkage at the sides of the top panel. The table, where it shows, was cleaned, and the underside was left uncleaned. There are no repairs or cracks to be noted. The table was bought, and imported from Hong Kong, about 20 years ago...

Carmine red silk ground fabric with star lattice pattern in silver and gold paper wrapped threads, using the songket supplementary weft technique. Maybe a ceremonial shoulder cloth (kain selendang). Provenance: old Swiss collection. Condition: wear to the metallic twine, only partially preserved. Holes, wear, one rim with loss. Dimension: 133 cm x 53.2 cm.
Height approximately 12.2 cm. There are two chips at the rim. There is one chip at the base. In good condition.
Width approximately 11.4 cm. There is a soft dent at the body. In good condition.
Width approximately 19.5 cm. There is a hairline at the back of the cover, not fully visible at the front. There is no leaks at the teapot. In good condition.

Small gold lacquer tray, magnificent example of kirikane and multiple lacquer technical and multiple lacquering techniques. Absolutely exceptional quality, very rarely encountered. Presence of small details in mother of pearl. I think it must have been part of a set, most probably inside a box? But it is possible that it was created alone. Perfect state of conservation. Difficult to date exactly, I would say around 1800.

A large heavy okimono of a striding elephant. The bronze elephant has a finely chased hide and it's original ivory tusks. The elephant measures about 19" long x 19" high, and weighs about 23.8 pounds.
There is a maker's mark cut out on the belly of the beast which reads "Watanambe Made", and the patina overall is even and perfect. The elephant was made during the Meiji period, ie: late 19th Century, and the condition is perfect. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

A Japanese bronze study of a prowling, growling, tiger with an open mouth, glass eyes and etched strips. There is a cast rectangular reserve on the tigers belly which says Seiya Sake(Sei ya made), which would indicate that the statue was made in the Genryusai Seiya Workshop. The tiger weighs about 5 pounds, measures about 13 1/2" long x 7 1/2" high, and dates to the late 19th Century.
The condition is excellent. The tiger comes with a beautiful wooden stand as shown...

A Bronze elephant under attack by two tigers, one tiger is on his back, and one is under his front foot. The elephant has a finely chased hide and original ivory tusks, and the tigers have etched bronze strips. There is a makers mark inscribed on the bottom of the elephant's right front foot which says "Jonon"(south castle). The okimono measures about 7" wide x 7 1/2" tall, and dates to the Meiji Period.
