This is a beautiful Japanese Cloisonne Enamel tray from Namikawa Sosuke. The tray looks perfect but it has does have a very difficult to see professional restoration to the face. This would be a great addition for a Museum or fine collection because it displays so well. This is a top flight piece for less than a third normal price. The tray measures 11 3/4 inches across and it is heavy.

A very large 19th. century hanging scroll with a life-size anchestor portrait. Excellently painted in ink and colour on silk, on paper. The rank insignia of a paradise flycatcher identifies the portrayed as a 9th. grade official.

A beautiful blue glazed porcelain dish with foliate rim and four characters Chenghua mark. Late 17th Century. The dish is in perfect condition with some kiln faults on outside of the foot rim, and expected wear for its age. Please study the photos carefully to inspect the condition. This is a beautiful four sided Japanese cloisonne vase. The work is subtle and the workmanship of very high quality. The artists that come to mind when looking at this piece are Kawade and Souske. The vase is not signed. The rims are silver. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and it is in excellent condition.

Weighty, yet smooth and even in the hand, this Kuro Oribe bowl is quite attractive and unique in its construction. A fine collection of Persian armor and weapons, which includes the "Khulah-kud" (helmet). With its original ziggurat fringe chainmail, engraved nose guard, and gilt pointed finial. Fashioned with decorative mounts for plumes or feathers. The helmet is damascened in gold with Koranic text and arabesque floral, and bird motif.

This beautiful Olmec maskette is 36mm long and 27mm wide. It is made from transparent high grade flawless quartz with very high energy. It has a very solid hole at the top center making it perfect to add a gold loop for everyday wear as a pendant. It is nicely scooped in the back. There are two things that make this piece extremely rare and desirable. The first is the size. In 40 years of collecting, I have seen only two authentic Olmec maskettes that are this small...
The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. The dish was made for the Japanese where such pieces were used and much appreciated in the tea ceremony, at a time when the Japanese porcelain industry was in its infancy.
