A moulded water dropper in the form of a monkey with baby. White stoneware body with cobalt blue decoration, covered with a transparent glaze. Annamese ware ( Vietnam ) fifteenth century. H : 6,4 cm. Condition: Perfect, with smaller areas of spalling to the otherwise wonderful glossy glaze ( please look at the images ).

A fine and accomplished Blackware vessel with the portrait head of a man, Precolumbian Peru, Late Moche or early Chimú, 7th.-9th. century AD.

Superbly detailed, made as a grinning man with his tungue between his teeth and wearing larger earrings and headdress, the spout of the vessel prodruding from the top of his head.

Size: 15,3 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice and intact, minor chips to the spout as is usual with these, but othervise perfect.

Shamanic face mask of oval shape, with minimalistic features. Wood, traces of black resin under the nose for attachment of a mustache made of animal hair (now missing). Nice dark patina. Nepal, early 19th century, probably earlier. Height: 9 1/2" (24 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accidents and chips, otherwise good condition.

A nice, quite large porcelain covered box with floral decoration in underglaze cobalt blue. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ). Very nice glossy glaze. Diameter : 9,7 cm. H : 7,4 cm. Condition : Perfect original condition.

This lovely set of 5 antique Japanese blue and white porcelain sake cups was made for export during the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890-1914 which required that the name of the country of origin appear in writing on each piece of pottery or porcelain imported into the country. Each cup has the makers name on the bottom as well as the country of origin. they are in excellant condition.

Bust portrait of an unidentified actor in the role of a half-naked samurai from a series titled "Mirror of Good and Evil Spirits" by Toyohara Kunichika (1835-1900), published by Tsunoi in 4/1868. Paper size: 14" x 9 3/8". The print is a fine impression with very fresh color. The wood grain is plainly evident in the background and there are mica highlights. The left margin is trimmed...

Rare image of a Qilin Chinese "unicorn" with stunning deep aquamarine Qingbai glaze. This is a fragment of a much larger piece, possibly a finial off a censer. H: 9.5cm/3.9in, W: 7cm/2.8in x 4.5cm/1.8in. The sculpture is in excellent condition, there is a film of hardpacked soil in the crevices which can be (see enlargements), this can be removed with a small blade with a bit of effort, soaking it in water for a week or so will help. I am leaving it on as it speaks to the age of this piece...

A Ming Dynasty Blue and White saucer dish decorated with a Shoe character in the center. Zhengde period. Condition is very good, no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Diameter: 12,3 cm.

Small covered box with an embossed decoration all around the body representing stylised animals in small medalions. The lid is surmounted by an animal (tiger?) and the base is decorated with a lotus. Solid silver with a fine patina. Burma, 19th century. Height: 5.5 cm. Diameter: 5.7 cm. Very goodcondition.

Antique Japanese Katakuchi of Old Karatsu Ware near the end of 19th century (about 120-130 years ago). Karatsu ware is one of most desired pottery type in Japan based in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture since 15th century. Belt hook nicely carved in the shape of a dragon. Light green jade. China, 19th century or earlier. Length: 9,2 cm. Remnants of soil encrustations suggesting a rather long stay underground, otherwise very good condition.

An early Japanese blue & white plate produced in Arita at the end of the seventeenth century. The centre features a roundel carefully painted with a vase of flowers on a verandah. The unusual vase perhaps based upon a Dutch example...

An unusual 18th century Japanese porcelain dish with chidori and waves drawn in thick outline, the centre with a Tibetan Buddhist symbol. The V & A Museum, London, has an identical dish, FE.113-2006. Arita1770-1780.

An elaborately inlaid three drawer marquetry cabinet, unusually, with tambour doors. This item was made in Japan, for export, during the late 19th or early 20th century. In very good used condition; there is one small piece of veneer missing from the top back corner of the right side; no further losses, no restoration and no alterations. 23 cm (9 inches) high; 24.5 cm (9.5 inches) high.
