Japanese ceramic vase with a slender form, reddish brown base colors, areas with black, grey, yellow, and brown glaze and areas of texture. The artists' signature is incised into the bottom of the vase. Included is a wooden storage box with kanji.

This Buddhist sutra book was from Ceylon, now called Sri Lanka. The front and rear wooden covers painted red with random gold paint spatters. The sutra book contains 16 handwritten pages made from palm leaves, which are held between the covers with cord.

Very rare pottery bowl and eclectic with Taoist imagery. This is made from a high fired light gray pottery, with traces of a white slip and depictions of musicians, dancers and “demon” masks. This is a funerary piece; the symbology suggests the transition from this world to the afterlife. D: 14cm/5.5in and H: 5.2cm/2in. No cracks original pigments with some kiln warpage
A perfectly and very thinly potted lobed porcelain dish. Brightly enamelled with a floral and fruit decoration with bats and shou characters. The outlines of the very decorative enamel decoration probably transfer printed.

Excellently glazed stoneware body, glazed with a very nice chreamy white, close crackled glaze. The body where exposed has turned dark-brown in the firing.

Sutra book clasp cast in the shape of an H, with a Tibetan "dorje" (or "vajra") placed horizontally at its center. Square opening at top and bottom for attachment. Bronze, with partly encrusted greenish patina. Tibet, 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 1 5/8" (4,2 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Erosion due to great age, otherwise good condition. Note: such implement was used to lock the straps that kept a "sutra" book (a book containing Buddhist texts) closed.

Tibetan snuff bottle with wood body, with decorative silver base and shoulders. The silver work shows a bird with elaborate wing feathers and thin handles on either side of the bottle. The stopper lid is capped with coral and the spoon is also silver. The condition is very good. Bottle measures 3" x 2"

Condition : No chip, no crack, no repair. This what looks like a chip is covered by the original glaze. And this what looks like a crack is just a still very dirty scratch. This excavated piece is still un-cleaned. After a professional cleaning this scratch might become quite invisible to the naked eye...

This is beautiful Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain plate with Dragon and Ho-O bird design intricately painted in deep cobalt blue. There is also the clouds and Ho-ju design. There is marking on the back of plate. The condition of plate excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One little spot on the rim has thin blue paint as showing on the photo. The surface of blue and white glazing area painting has little raised finish. Dating from 1800-1830's...
