Antique Japanese very large ceramic jar with a highly textured form, wide mouth, large dripping area of natural ash glazes in blues and browns with bare tapered foot. Tokoname kilm dates from the Momoyama period 17th century.

This bowl is glazed in white overall except for the foot and base, save for a small bit of glaze on the base. The fine, white porcelain paste is exposed on the base.

This brilliant turquoise dish is molded with a multi-lobed well and flat rim, the edge of which has been polished. The base is flat and carries an incised “China” mark at the center. It is in good condition.

Charming Chinese acrobat in a handstand atop a natural rootwood base. The acrobat is hand carved out of boxwood. He wears shorts tied at the waist and a pair boots. His hair is tied back and he has a goatee. Very finely carved. It is from the Ching Dynasty, 19th century. It measures 27 tall, about 18" wide at the base. Excellent original condition.
This is an amazing piece of Satsuma from Yozan. The vase stands 5 1/4 inches tall and it is covered with eye straining detail. It is better than the images show and in hand has a jewel like aura. Condition is excellent.
An attractive Arita dish made for export to Europe decorated with conventionalised panels of Hoo birds and Paulonia flowers and stylised Peony flowers inset within an underglaze blue brocade ground to the cavetto, and a central motif of Chrysanthemum. The presence of gilt outlined enamels and colloidal pink in the palette indicate that the plate is from the Kyoho period or slightly later.

A Japanese Bronze mirror of circular form decorated with Chrysanthemum Sprays a pair of Cranes, Tsuru, in flight, a circular ring and a central Turtle, Kame, shaped boss. Probably late Kamakura or Nambokucho in date, first half of the fourteenth century.
The mirror measures approximately 11.45cm in diameter, and 0.76cm high at the rim, and the edge measures 5.1mm in width, and weighs 273 grams. See images for condition, wear commensurate with its age...
