This is an extroadinarily rare Aztec ceramic pipe. There are only 3 others of this earliest type known to exist. It was found by Dr. Allen Heflin on 12/2/60 in Cuautitlan, Mexico. The end of the stem has been broken off and appears to have been glued back on. This is not the prettiest of the 4 pipes I have listed, but it is the oldest likened unto Paleo vs. Archaic. I have what I believe to be the largest and finest collection of Aztec pipes in private hands.

Pre-Columbian Maya Eccentric Obsidian Scepter. Cira.600 A.D. to 900 A.D. 5” x 0.625” x 14.5. These visually complex silhouette scepters, many found at Copan,embodied their role as cutting weapons and were symbolic of the martial pursuits of most late classic period rulers. Repaired break. A couple of rare vessels in red / black, Quimbaya, Ecuador or Columbia, 7th.-14th. cent. AD

Lot consists of a lovely pedestal rattle vessel with small perferations on the foot and applications of animals on the rim and a jug with a human face impressed on the neck, Anthropomorphic style and decorated with black on red lines.

A rare antique Pre-Columbian Jama-Coaque 300 B.C. - 400 A.D. ceramic amulet in the form of a standing nude male figure with an erect phallus. These types of amulets were associated with the male sex's power and fertility. The object has a hole at the temple for suspension.

CONDITION: It is in good condition, showing its age and wear. No repairs or restorations.

Fine small collection of three pairs of gold tweezers for the removal of bodily hair, Chimü or earlier, c. 600-1100 AD.

All Tweezers test as 18 carats or more and stringed as pendants to brown thread.

Very interesting and unidentified Pre-Columbian pottery vessel or large Jug with handle, pre 15th. century AD and likly pre 1000 AD.

A very artful and attractive vessel with a small round spout and a bulbous body with 6 larger knobs in different colours, red, cream and black.

Perhaps from Peru or perhaps Columbia, we're not certain.

A Tlatilico "Pretty Lady" from the pre-Classic period [1200 BC-300 AD]. Stress breaks arms and legs professionally restored. Rare large size. 7.5" high.

This Olmec maskette is 1 7/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 1" thick. It has been in a fire, possibly sacrificial in nature, with mild damage to one back edge which lends to its authenticity. It is made from Fuchsite which was used by the Olmecs. Fushsite is a form of mica which can readily be seen in the pictures. This piece was almost certainly used in magical shamanistic ceremonies. I just couldn't get a decent picture of how this piece reflects light...

A stone necklace composed of numerous beads of graduated size, variously of globular, tubular or irregular form in shades of light green, white and grey. They are suspending a Mezcala stone head pendant with broad incisions used to mark the facial characteristics and drilled at the back of the head. The suspended length as pictured is 15".

Pre Columbian sharpening stone . The black smooth pebble like stone has deep cut marks in the center , size 2 1/4" by almost 2"

Pre-Columbian Nayarit male Kokopelli ca. 300 ad, playing a wood rasp drum with a horned helmet, the Kokopelli of the prehistoric southwest was described as a man with a terribly deformed back, bent over playing a flute with magical powers and was able to communicate with the Gods, I believe this is the grandfather of the prehistoric southwest Kokopelli, meaning the legends of the Kokopelli didn't start in the southwest but much further south. Every legend had to start somewhere...

Pre Columbian Period Moche Feline head vessel. North Coast Peru, 450 - 700 AD. A love two colour pottery vessel in the form of a feline (animal - jaguar?) head and a trompet-shaped spout.

The cat fierce looking with barred teeth.

Size: 19,5 cm. x 14 cm.

Condition: Choice!, intact with a micro chip under the spout, mentioned only to be 100% correct. Fine old collection patina.

Exceptional Type 10 Mezcala Figure. 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" CA. 1500-300 B.C. This very mint gray stone figure has no modern day chips or marks, it does have the classic upper top of the head fracture area. This figure has a very nice plumpness to it. It comes with a custom made black metal stand. Mineral and root marks over all.

A highly attractive terracotta stamp seal, carved in deep relief with a geomethric pattern, Pre-Columbian, Nicoya, Linea Vieja, 1st. mill. AD

Well-made in a wonderful condition and large. Almost stone-like density of this red ceramic.
