A pair of nice Capuli Complex / Narino pottery bowls, Northern Ecuador and Southern Colombia, 8th.-15th. cent. AD.

One of the typical pedestal bowls and a larger round bowl. The Capulí bowls has the distinctive black on dark red decor with rectilinear geometric designs.

Circa 1840-1850. Buffalo hide quiver with traces of red and green pigment. Contains seven arrow shafts, four with metal points. Ash bow with original animal hair and fiber string. Provenance: Mordecai Thomas Bertram (1843-1904) collected c. 1860-1870 on the Sauk and Fox reservation, then descended within the family.

A pair of early 19th century beaded deer hide moccasins. Seed beads, deer skin, clear beads, silk ribbon. The moccasins are probably from Niagara Falls area. c. 1830-40 Length 9" Provenance: Owned by Thomas Wistar (1798-1876) a Quaker, who was commissioned by President Grant to arrange treaties with Indian tribes. Relics of the nile is pleased to present this Mayan bowl from Guatemala, ca. 500 - 800 AD. The bowl features solid color with an excellent, detailed design of chiefs that repeats around the circumference of the piece. The bowl remains in solid condition and the body remains intact with the exception of some chipping on the rim that has been slightly repaired in one place. The bowl measures 6" in diameter and has evidence of extensive usage, good root marks and mineral deposits.

Very attractive with twin handles and the belly decorated on both sides with a mythical animal inside a stepped pyramide.

This outstanding Olmec jade standing figure is 5 3/4" long. The jade is high quality and opaque. There is no restoration or repair. Very rare and beautiful. It has excellent provenance and comes with a COA from Bill Breckinridge. There are many modern fakes on the market of Olmec standing figures.
