An unusual and rare Pre-Columbian necklace of ancient ivory-colored petrified Scorpian eggs and ceramic disc beads that were discovered together (it was restrung in Columbia)...

From the shaft tombs of the Southern Highland Narino Region of Columbia.

This choice vessel has the body decorated with a red-on-cream resist painted pattern. Serrated edge.

This very fine drilled 6 1/4" carved bone shawl or hair pin depicts three birds eating a large snake and is engraved on both sides. It is beautifully patinated.

A rare antique, first half of the 18th century, American Indian trade halberd or halberd tomahawk head, formed of hand-forged iron and adorned with brass panels.

During the first half of the 18th century, many Indian dignitaries carried the heads of this style on a short haft, like tomahawks.

There were numerous variations in the design of this halberd...

Oval vessel with bow handle between spout and perforated animal head, Vicús, ca. 100 - 500 AD.

Fine condition vessel from the rather illusive Vicus culture contemporary with the more well-known Moche culture. The vessel misses a very small pseudy lug handle at one side, othervise completely intact and unrepaired with some light weathering at edge of the spout.

Size: 18,5cm long.

A rare antique Pre-Columbian Jama-Coaque 300 B.C. - 400 A.D. ceramic amulet in the form of a standing nude male figure with an erect phallus. These types of amulets were associated with the male sex's power and fertility. The object has a hole at the temple for suspension.

CONDITION: It is in good condition, showing its age and wear. No repairs or restorations.

This ceramic warrior is in the process of throwing a rock with another in his hand and a basket full on his back. It is from the estate of the late Lynn Langdon. The figure was acquired in Mexico in the mid-20th century and is attributed to the Colima horizon, c.300BC-300AD. It is 4" tall. It retains some red pigment. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This head has slanted eyes a large detailed hair combed with a tied headband style neck piece and earrings . Size 2.25" by 1.5"

Of the over 10,000 artifacts that the late world famous Dr. Allen Heflin found, this little miniature hand-molded ceramic figurine ranks among the rarest. It is from the unattributed Preclassic Period, C1200-900BC. It is 1 7/8" long and in superb condition except for a small ding to the left breast. It still has traces of red pigment. Heflin found this little treasure on 8-12-60 and is so marked on the back. It is from Cuautitlan. She is wearing ear spools.

This extremely rare Inca carved Llama bone blood cup depicts a battle scene. One figure is holding a copper tumi knife and the other is holding a knife. It is 3 1/4" tall and 1 5/8" wide. It is in very nice condition. Excellent age on surface. Both dressed in full battle regalia locked in mortal hand-to-hand combat. Patina is beautiful. Circa A.D. 1200-1400.
