An attractive larger pottery flute with human bust of a female holding hans to her breasts.

Condition: Intact with minor old lossses.
Provenance: Inger and Ebbe Gotzche Frederiksen, Espergærde, Denmark. The couple lived years in South America, in Ecuador in 1958, Columbia from 1964-1966 and later in 1976 in Peru and Bolivia, and in all of those places they bought the collection...

This choice vessel has the body decorated with a red-on-cream resist painted pattern. Serrated edge.

A nice pair of carvings in emerald, incl. a finely carved and very large tortoise with segmented shell and a smaller Owl Fetish, Native American, probably Zuni, Navaho tribe and 20th. century (2).
The carvings are cut and polished in one transperant light blue-green stone. The massive turtle probably have had two legs made later and (re)-attached?
Zuni fetishes are small carvings made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials by the Zuni people...

A rare antique Pre-Columbian Jama-Coaque 300 B.C. - 400 A.D. ceramic amulet in the form of a standing nude male figure with an erect phallus. These types of amulets were associated with the male sex's power and fertility. The object has a hole at the temple for suspension.
CONDITION: It is in good condition, showing its age and wear. No repairs or restorations.

Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. Size 2" by 1.75"

The carving is cut and polished in one emerald stone and depicts the head of a Native tribes leader, carved on both sides of the stone. The stone is transperant light blue-green and very beautiful.
