An unusually artful large stone head of a man with barred teeth, Dominican republic, Taino culture, Early Taino, ca. 1000 to 1300 AD.

The sculptural head highly unusual with very interesting features incl. what looks very much like glasses or a mask over the eyes. Barred teeth and a very broad flat nose. A piece of sculptural art worthy of any collection of Pre-Columbian art as well as other collections of beautiful sculptures.

Vera Cruz Warrior. Mexico. Circa. 600-900 A.D. 15 ¼” Hollow molded terra cotta, standing warrior with one hand raised showing an open palm. The other wields a large, trapezoidal shield and he wears a sleeveless vest, belt and a long loin cloth. With prominent teeth, sleepy eyes and a well formed nose. Restored from a dozen or so large pieces with restoration over the break lines. Rear, third, support leg reattached with visible gluing and edge losses.

A terrific set of three finely made silver vessels, Pre-Columbian Inca Empire, 13th.-15th. century AD.

The set consists of a larger and very attractive hammered silver bowl (11 cm. in diameter and 70 grams), along with two smaller items, a votive rattling beaker (5,8 cm. tall and 19,34 grams) and a small thick dish (5 cm. in diameter and 17,13 grams).

Condition: Superb! Completely intact and the large bowl with iridecent patina.

This beautiful Eden point was found in Oregon. It is made from multi-colored petrified bog wood. It has short flutes on both sides. It has a medium ridge on both faces and a ground base. Parallel flaking. It is 2 3/4" long. There is no damage on this point at all. Very fine flaking and an early point. G-10. Purchased from Richard E. Bachman. This incredible Columbia Plateau is 2 1/8" long. It is made from semi-translucent carnelian agate . It was found by Ernie Cowles in the 1930's. This extremely rare 6 1/2" angular owl effigy pipe was found by Dr. Allen Heflin in 1958 at the Tzintzuntzan, Michoacan site in Mexico. It is type 3A. The pupil of the right eye is missing. This is truly a fabulous pipe of which only a few exist in private collections.

This is a very unusual artifact. It is bone that has been covered with 22K hammered gold. It is 8" long. It is either a pectoral or perhaps a nose ornament. The bone is broken near the center, but is completely covered by the gold. It is from La Tolita, Ecuador C500BC-500AD. This piece was found with a gold death mask in a tomb. It was found lying next to the mask and was part of the mask. The two were separated. The mask sold for $75,000. It is from the Ken Klassen collection, Bogota.
