A vintage necklace in fine twisted silver wire of ancient clay mummy beads and a large faience amulet of Bes, Late period to Roman period, c. 600-100 BC.

Size: 43 mm. for the amulet, the necklace is 29-30 cm. in a double row. Incl. a couple of - probably modern but old - charms in bronze or cobber.

Condition: Nice Very fine and intact.

Standing on an integral plinth against an inscribed back pillar, with prominent facial details, depicted mummiform with the arms crossing his chest, his hands emerging from his tightly fitting garment, holding hoes, a seed sack over his left shoulder, wearing a tripartite headcloth and a braided beard. 4 inches high. A very rare and interesting large fragment of a sculptural torquise blue faience vessel with moulded decoration, Egypt, probably Amarna period, 14th. century BC.

The fragment represent up to 40% of what was once a hemispheric low bowl with pseudo handles and black and torquise glaze. Moulded decoration of large snake and the tail of another which would have adorned the other side.
