For your consideration is this fabulous and large, 18th Dynasty, New Kingdom, black steatite scarab. Not a burial placement, this scarab would have been worn by someone as a talisman during everyday life, as evidenced by the even polishing over the surface. Item measures 25.58 mm (1 ") in length.
