The hair is painted in black pigment and is the classic style from the early 11th Dynasty. The boat man wears white clothing with his exposed skin presented in red. His arms remain at his side with unclogged holes remaining in his hands that once held the boat's oars...
A nice terracotta head of Bes, fragmentary and corroded, but substantial and with fine classic features, Egyptian, Late-Roman Period, 500-100 AD.
Comes attached to the original German gift letter from the 1920s-1930s.

This upper torso from an ushabti remains in a condition that is somewhat worn, but the headcloth, arms, face, etc. are still evident on the ushabti. Some of the painted features such as the "shesh" headcloth are still present and the sulk and hoe, and seed sack on the back are still visible, although the original pigment is worn...
This is really a fantastic fragment of a faience Isis, sitting on a lion throne, nursing her son Horus.
The whole throne, supported by two stringing lions, is well preserved. The lions are extremely fine
and you can see every detail. Dating is between Third Intermediate Period to Late Period.
I think it looks a little bit Nubian, than it is 25th Dynasty...

Rare fragment of a large faience sistrum. The fragment is the upper part
of a large faience sistrum with two hawks above side by side bearing the sun disk.
It is seldom to find a sistrum which is surmounted with gods or sacred animals.
A sistrum with a similar upper part is in the Eaton College Myer Collection (ECM1693), see last picture.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. The back and part of the lower portion is missing, however the front containing the cartouche of the pharaoh is still intact. The cartouche is highlighted in black and appears to contain the cartouche of Amenhotep. The vessel measures 2" in height, plus the size of the base. This is cone number 576 from tomb number TT 295 for the scribe Paroy, also known as Djehutymose. The cone is wonderfully inscribed and detailed with clear glyphs. Djeyhutymose was a scribe under Thuthmosis IV or Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom in Egypt. The cone itself measures 3 1/8" in diameter and 2.5" deep...

Large head of Serapis shown with a fulsome beard and fringed hairdo over the forehead. On the crown a closed modius decorated with an olive branch.
The face with a small nose and flat eye cavities with thin eyelids. The mouth enclosed by a stringy moustache.

Egyptian head of a king with tightly fitting headdress, the uraeus and the vulture partially preserved on the forehead.
Eyes and eyebrows recessed to bear inlays. Also the body of the rearing uraeus was originally inlayed.
Attractive facial features with slightly aquiline nose and full lips, the almond-shaped eyes with cosmetic lines to the outer corners. False beard missing.
