A rare and attractive early Egyptian vessel / beaker, dating to the Old Kingdom, 2649 - 2150 BC.

The conical beaker with a wide flat rim and craved in finely banded alabaster.

Size: 68 mm. tall. and 62 mm. wide over the rim.

A rare and quite attractive set of two knives and a sicle type of cutter (3), knapped in finely patinated Silex, Egyptian stoneage / Neolithic period, 5200 - 4000 BC.

These comes from an old French collection and the two knives with tags in white and black ink giving the finding place to 'Fayoum' and 'Le Fayoum' - a region just south of Cairo, close to the Nile.

Rarely seen and a must for collectors of Egypt antiquities.

An above average large/thick Ushabti, Third Intermediate Period, 21/22th dynasty (ca 1085-713BC)

A blue-green faience shabti, wearing the headband and two hoes. Inscribed shabti with clear hieroglyphs at the lower front. Details are added in black.

Size: 105 mm. tall and comes with it's old wooden base, 16,6 cm. total.

Condition: Choice with intact painted details and nice patina. Much uncleaned deposits.

Terracotta head of a man with a round hairstyle which covers the ears. The hair with impressed circles and remains of white color.
The man shows wide almond-shaped eyes with neatly marked cosmetic lines and eyebrows. The prominent nose with pieced nostrils, the lips pressed to a gentle smile.
Elaborate style with much use of the modeling tool. The piece constitutes a fragment of figurine or a sculptor's model.

This is a rare and interesting ancient Egyptian scaraboid. An uraei knot is depicted on the top and a Hathor sistrum flanked by two uraei is incised on the bottom. The uraei knot is much older than the Herakles knot and much probably the precursor.

Relic of the Nile is pleased to present his large Ptah-Sokar-Osiris figure with original base. The figure has nice facial features with some black cosmetic details remaining and a well-carved osiris beard. While the pigment has been lost throughout the piece there are still traces of the broad collar and vertical column that originally likely contained hieroglyphics showing the name of the owner.
