The woman stands in front of a column with prominent capital and base, on the right a suspended sash.
The frieze with a key pattern and top and a reserved ground line. Two bands of (faded) tongues on the shoulder. Outer edge and bottom of the foot reserved.

Cursory incisions for the helmets and the center of the shields, which show faint remains of applied red color.
The vase belongs to the ‘Group of the Round Shielded Warriors’.

Larger than usual kylix of Ionian shape showing a deep rounded bowl with high steep rim and slightly tilted handles attached on the belly. The trumpet-shaped foot with flattened resting surface.
The outside of the rim and the handle zone are reserved, as well as the small band inside the lip...

Glazed jug of ovoid body and steep shoulder. Arching strap handle, standing on a flat base.
Covered with a greenish brown glaze. Traces of fingertips around the base resulting from dipping the vase into the glaze.

Apulian black-glazed guttus of globular body with gently sloped shoulder, upright narrow neck and flared spout. The flared rim decorated with impressed rings.
The loop handle is attached on the shoulder, which is embellished with horizontal grooves. Red wash around and underneath the foot.

Ancient Greek Tanagra head fragment , the clay buff color with a smooth texture, appears to be a male. Possibly Alexander the Great. Size 2"

A draped youth strides to the left and holds a sprouting tendril. His hidden left hand rests on the hip and creates a radiating sequence of suspended folds.

Relics of the Nile is thrilled to present this incredible Greek Gnathian Pelike. This artifact is nicely formed with bulbous body and two intact handles that connect to the neck. The body features floral designs around a central dove figure. The pelike remains intact with typical deposits which do not detract from this beautiful piece. The Pelike measures 6.25" tall. Greece - 4th century B.C.
