Intriguing Daunian kyathos featuring an incurving shallow bowl and a handle that widens towards the top to form stylized horns, a tiny animal head inserted in between.
The cream-hued surface shows a delicate linear decoration, both on the handle and on the outside of the bowl.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding Greek kylix with original pigment and intact handles. This piece features a grapevine design around the perimiter with the highlight being the artisan signature on the bottom of the p;iece. 2 5/8" tall by 7 5/8" across the handles. Large bulbous vessel topped by cylindrical spouts and a twofold handle between them. One spout with a red strainer on the top, the other with red wash inside and a strainer on the base.

Attic red-figure askos decorated with a dog and a panther crouching on the domed top. The animals face the spout and are seen with one foreleg raised.
The panther has turned the head towards the viewer and shows a spotted coat.

The lid decorated on both sides with a winged Eros seated on a rock and facing left. One figure holds up a mirror with his right hand, the other carries a dish with double hooks, a sash suspended underneath. Flowers in the field.
One Eros wears a kekryphalos with a bun at rear, the other a pointed cap. Both carry earrings, necklaces, bracelets, strings of beads around the chest, the left thigh and anklet, as well as sandals.
