A fine bronze standard finial of the "Master of Animals" type, worked on both sides identically. A tube in anthropomorphic form showing a human with a long nose and jutting ears, grasping the necks of two animals. The center of the figure with a human mask and two protruding cock's heads. A superb quality and large for type Islamic pottery bowl, ca. 12th century A.D. (494 AH – 597 AH).

Turquoise glazed, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides and center carved with a Lotus pattern black markings, all in high relief in the manor of the Seljuqs.

Condition: Superb. Fully iridescent patina in silver and rainbow. Completely intact and uncleaned. Exceptional in hand

An accomplished and very interesting larger stone cylinder seal, from the Uruk period of Mesopotamia, c. 3500-3000 BC.

The fine drill-style carved shows thick vertical bars, and some strange creatures behind and around these bars. Attractive high relief seal carved in a black stone, with loop at the top instead of the usual vertical drilling.

Larger seal carved in almost black-green serpentine, the seal carved with an introduction to the enthroned almighty deity, by a worshipper dragged before the throne by a female deity. Dating The Third Dynasty of Ur, also called the Neo-Sumerian Empire, 22nd.-21st. century BC.

A nice seal with deep relief in the fine old style, cuneiform inscription behind the visiting worshipper.

The set includes one extremely fine dagger of later fabric, probably 1200-800 BC with a long bend tang.

With spherical body on short foot, the tubular neck with traces of engravings, the handle with beading and pomegranate thumb-rest, minor dents, hairline crack and a couple of small holes to body, but intact, overall patination to surface.

A beautiful larger silver bowl, Sassanian Empire, 300-600 AD.

The Sassanid Dynasty, was the the last native Persian Kingdom to rule Ancient Near East before the Islamic conquest.

An attractive hammered silver bowl, with an scetchy incised animal in the center of the interior and multible concenthric lines around. It looks like a simple bird, but it needs more cleaning to be certain!

Size: ca. 17 cm. wide and 6 cm. tall.

An nice larger mirror in bronze, Islamic, 10th.-12th. century AD.

The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth water-green patina. Old Collection tag on the reverse.

A wonderful and very large late achaemenid / Greco-Persian bronze Patera, c. 4th century B.C.

At the rim a bead moulding, the end of the handle in form of an animal-head, possibly a wolf or dog, on the handle engraved decoration.

Size: Nearly 35 cm. long incl. the handle and and quite deep, measuring 8 cm. from the handle down and ca. 5,3 cm. to the rim of the bowl.
