Ancient Roman, circa. 1st - 3rd century A.D. Bronze bust of Jupiter. Depicted from the shoulders up, with well-defined facial details hair, eyes, thick beard and muscular neck and shoulders. Likely was part of a handle from a Roman vessel.
HEIGHT: 42 mm (1 5/8 inches).
CONDITION: Signs of usage and wear with nice olive-green glossy patina.
PROVENANCE: Ex. Old Canadian collection.

Authentic Ancient 90-140 A.D. Roman Italian Terracotta Oil lamp Loeschcke Type 8, with ring handle. Shallow plain concave discus: a single filling hole at center, and a groove and raised circle around edge. Slightly sloping shoulder and Incised base ring.

Interesting and unusually large decorated bronze tweezer, likely Roman but could be much older, perhaps late bronzeage European.
The tweezer measure 10,8 cm. in lenght and is solidly constructed and finely decorated with lines. Two tiny rivets in the low area. The design is most likely Roman, but the fine execution and the rivets could point to an earlier manifacture date.
Condition: Nice VF, absolutely lovely red-brown patina, but a c. 30% loss at one side.

A fine and substantial Roman terra sigillata pitcher, probably Nothern Africa, c. 4th. cent. AD.
Attractive vessel in a nice redish colour, low slung discus-shaped type, probably for wine.
Size: 16 cm. tall and 15,5 cm. wide of the fat belly.
Condition: Good Very fine, much preserved red slip and only a few tiny chips to the very rim.

Rare style ancient Roman painted clay and highly decorated clay oil lamp known as "BEIT NATIF". The oil lamp is nicely decorated with geometric deign all around the shoulders with soot marks. Looped handle, Beit Natif oil lamps rarely come with a looped handle like the one we have!

Rare ancient Romano-Celtic solid silver zoomorphic fibula brooch, finely hand-shaped as a wild boar. Roman Empire 1st-2nd century AD.
The fibula is not cast like most Roman and Celtic fibulas but is entirely handmade. The board and the base are hand-cut from solid silver plaque, hand-sculptured, and then chiseled with fine details.

A wonderful large Roman terracotta figure Aphrodite of the Anadyomene type, Roman 1st. cent. AD.
Exquisite roman statuette of Venus Anadyomene represented naked, standing, in contrapposto position, with a slight hip caused by the lifting of the right foot. With her elbows bent, she delicately holds back her hair. Her left thigh slightly sustained on a low altar that holds a mantle at the top and presents a bas-relief amphora resting on the front.

A huge lead/bronze head of Gorgoneion / Medusa, Roman Empire, 1st.-3rd. century AD.
Interesting oversized item, probably from a piece of furniture or a military cariot. Very high relief and stunning quality portrait, made in lead and bronze.
Size: 10,2 cm. tall and 9,3 cm. wide and weighing 1180 grams - 1,18 kilograms!
