A round seal with a an almost floral ornamentation in the center and a circle around in the openwork style. The seal belongs to the group of varied mostly circular metal stamp seals relief cast in bronze or copper alloy, classified as so-called compartmented seals (a term first used in 1943 by the British archaeologist Stuart Pigott – 1943. A fine silver ancient Islamic belt buckle from the earliest fase in the Islamic domination of the world, 7th.-9th. century AD.

A beautiful and perfectly intact belt buckle completely covered in black patina and in solid silver. Fine ornamentation.

The seal of an excellent style in a greenish-black stone, carved with a star radiating from circular border and a central dot / Leaf-shaped pattern.

An intact and attractive pottery bowl, 9th.-10th. century AD.

The bowl decorated with stylized caligraphy in green-brown on a beige ground.

Size: 12,8 cm. wide and 5 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice, original glaze, perhaps a chip restored, but difficult to spot.

Provenance: Important Danish-French Private collection, (aquired 1970- c. 2007) of Islamic pottery ware from the 9th.-12th. century. Comes with COA.

Interesting huge seal from the Oberländer collection. It was described as unidentified and probably ceramic, but to us it looks like Limestone, but we're not certain. Ancient Pre-colombian or Western Asian? There were no other precolumbian items in the collection.

It's sold as guaranteed ancient and 800+ years old.

A large North African Red-Ware Oil Lamp, late Roman ca. 4th-5th Century AD.

The lamp with a Gladiator or Soldier depicted hurling something on the discus, heering pattern around. Knob handle and two filling holes. Makers mark on the back

Condition: Choice and intact, even wear to all decorations and fine patination and discolouration from ancient use.

High relief carving of stylized animal and other symbols.

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC. A large elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with poppy flower shaped terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor...

Interesting finely polished hardstone stamp seal of an early hemispheric form, late 1st. millenium BC.

The seal particularly finely polished and carved in the base with a bird.

Size: 22 mm. wide, 18 mm. tall.

Condition: Very fine, completely intact with low relief engraving.
