Relics of the nile is pleased to present this interesting and large ancient Egyptian alabaster offering table. The table remains in good condition restored from large fragments. The alabaster features a nice marbled pattern and looks brilliant under the light. The table would have originally been used to hold various offerings such as unguents and food to be used in the after life. The table is very large and measures 14.5" in diameter and forms an impressive display...

An interesting and nicely preserved cylinder seal in brown stone, Neo-Babylonian, 8th.-7th. century BC.

An iconographic scene of the Great Babylonian King and a high priest, both bearded and wearing long dresses, on either side of the alter of the Moon god Sin, probably in the version of local patron Nabu. Behind them in the field, we see the typical Neobabylonian temple or alter structures and above a Sun symbol.

A very nice and fine condition larger bronze dagger, dating to the 2nd. millenium BC.

Attractive greater Mesopotamian type of dagger with a short tang and two rivets in each top side of the triangular blade with a diamond shaped crossection.

Condition: Near Extremely fine for type excellent light green patina and fine metal.

Roman Imperial style terracotta figure of Aphrodites.

She is depicted as a beautiful and voluptious concubine. She is naked from the low waist up and is bending slightly forward to look into the mirror with a comb in her other hand and she has a look of perhaps dissatisfaction on her face. Her elaborate headdress is in the style of the court, early 2nd. century AD at the time of the Emperor Trajan.

An exceptionally fine Egyptian Bifacial seal or seal plaque, for Amenhoteb III, 18th Dynasty, 1390 BC-1352 BC.

The seal finely engraved with hieroglyphs. On one with the standing depiction of Ptah, the other with a bird and the carthouche of Amenhoteb.

A large and superb early bronze bowl, Ancient Near East, Early Achaemenid / Greco-Persian, c. 7th.-5th. century BC.

The phiale designed in high relief as a sun or a flower with multible rays radiating from the central omphallos. Very flat design, typical for this type of phiale for making drink-offers.

These types of unusual flat flint implements of donut form with ground hollow centers and worked outer and inner edges were most likely mace heads. Penned #35. Aprodite is depicted sitting on a rock covered with a robe; she is nude and covering her breasts with both hands. Her legs is folded casually and she wears a elegant headdress with diadem.

Rare faience (blue green glazed) clay Egyptian scarab amulets on a custom stand. Scarabs were popular amulets and impression seals in Ancient Egypt. Egyptian faience is a non-clay based ceramic composed of crushed quartz or sand, with small amounts of calcite lime and a mixture of alkalis, displaying surface vitrification due to the soda lime silica glaze often containing copper pigments to create a bright blue-green luster. Each mounted on a single custom antiqued bronze mounts.
