A nice pair of Danish Neolithic axes dating to 4th-3rd mill BC.

The pair consist of:

1. a thinbuttet axe dating to 3500-3000 BC. Almost fully polished with beautiful mottled amber and brown patina. Size is 15,5 cm - 6,1 inches.

2. A thinbladed axe, c 2500 BC - a period were the production of flint tools became more specialized. 12 cm. - 4,7 inches. Fully polished with nice and glossy grey patination...

Shabti for Priest Psamtek - Mer – Ptah

The frontal vertical text names Psamtek-Mer-Ptah, otherwise known as Imhotep, born to Nebresh (Mistress of Joy), with plain back pillar.

Origin: Egypt

Period: First Persian Period, 27th Dynasty,

Date: c. 525-380 B.C.

Material: Fayence

A pair of nice gold beads for a necklace, Roman Empire, c. 2nd.-4th. cent. AD.

Size: c. 10 mm. / 0.60 grams.

This is a fantastic example of an ancient bronze mace head. This piece was part of a large collection of bronze weapons from the middle East. There are four radial spike protruding from the head. The socket is hollow and slightly flared near the bottom. There is a perforation for attaching the socket to a shaft. This piece weighs 222 grams and measures just under 10 cm. Mace heads like this are very rare and quite desirable for collectors. This piece won't last long!!

Interesting late neolithic - early bronzeage stamp seal in attractive dark green stone, finely engraved, East Anatolia/West Mesopotamia, c. 3rd. millenium bC.

The seal finely made with a handle and sort of 'Hat-shaped' like these pre-Hittite seals often are. The engraving shows a pair of horned animals with very long curved horns and with the small triangular spearpoint-forms in the fields, typical for Anatolian seals.

Ancient egyptian motto scarab with torquise blue glaze 13mm

A faience motto scarab. The base is inscribed with the characters Reed, Nefer and Neb, which together make up an Amun trigram.

A bronze sickle with three raised ribs to the outside of the curve and with the reverse flat, Germany, Early Bronzeage bronze sicle, c. 1800 BC. The interesting type with the large knob at the base.

Size: 136 mm.

Condition: Choice Very fine, intact with a nice glossy dark green patina and uncleaned deposits.

A superb condition larger iron key, European, Late Medieval, c. 13th.-14th. century.

The key with a doomed bow and the stem ending in a long spike. The bit with a cruciform slot. Probably a passage door key.

Size: 14,6 cm.

Condition: Extremely fine, completely intact with superficial black iron patina and fine metal beneath.

Finely carved stamp seal with elaborate handle, Neo-Hittite states of the Levante, c. 1200-900 BC.

The seal depicts a horse moving right with another animal above. Scarce representation of a horse for Mesopotamia.

POTTERY SAUCER OIL LAMP WITH FIVE WICK SPOUTS

RARE - A charming wheel-made pottery oil lamp, bowl with thick side, five pinches on sides. It has been suggested that five-spouted lamps were used for ritual purposes...

This is a quaint little spear or dagger from the Bactrian culture dating to roughly 2000 BC. It is 126mm long and weighs 26 grams. It has a very interesting, rounded leaf shape. It is flat and undamaged. It has a wonderful malachite patina. This belongs in your collection.

The jar is outstanding in its excellent workmanship and decoration, a fine creation of the master potter in a period when pottery-making reached a peak of achievement.

The jar is well proportioned, with a flaring neck, graceful ovoid body and a pointed base...

This remarkable artifact is an ancient Greek Mycenaean-type bronze spearhead that dates back to the Bronze Age, circa 1500 B.C. The spearhead showcases a narrow, leaf-shaped blade that was expertly crafted to ensure its sharpness and durability. Moreover, the spearhead features an integral hollow socket designed to accommodate the spear's shaft. The shaft would have been secured to the spearhead using two opposed holes pierced into the socket's lower part for this purpose...

Fine hand-modeled vessel with shallow body, rounded shoulder and short neck with slightly flared rim.
The ribbon handles arching from the rim to the edge of the shoulder. On each side applied molded ribs and a spiky knob at center.
The polished surface with traces of the modeling stick.

An interesting selection of substantial examples of mid-late Gothic period Europe, c. 14th.-16th. century.

The selection consists of a North-Scandinavian iron door handle (18.5 cm.) in a fine elaborate style, and two large finials or handles (27.3 cm. nearly 23 cm. long) finely decorated in Gothic style, Europe.

Condition: Fine intact condition, with nice patinas.

Ex. Danish Collection of keys - from the Roman period to the 17th. century.

This is a fantastic find. It is an early Persian anchor-shaped axe dating to roughly 2200-2000 BC. This piece is stable and solid with only a few losses to the shaft/guard area. This piece weighs 466 grams and measures 12 cm from top to bottom. It is roughly 3 cm thick at the shaft holes. A similar piece in the Axel Guttmann collection sold at auction for over $3000 several years ago. Additional photos available on request. Authenticity is guaranteed.

Interesting and very large early stamp seal in serpentine stone, dating to the late neolithic period of Western Mesopotamia, c. 6th. mill. BC.

Finding place: Ebene at the Orontes.

The rectangular seal carved with a grit-pattern and with medium tall ridged and pierced handle on the back.
