A high quality earthenware bowl with incised decoration in green and painted in green and manganese on the exterior (Bamiyan type), afghanistan, c. 12th. century (Pre 1221 A.D.).

With carinated walls, and a beautiful Islamic symethric pattern in high relief in the interior. As typical for the most boldest specimens, the green and manganese colours are sort of splashed on the exterior side.

Turquoise glazed, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides and center decorated with a floral patterns or perhaps stylized birds(?) and a star-shaped or radiated element.

Condition: Superb. Remnants of light silver iridescence patina that is difficult to picture.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. The back and part of the lower portion is missing, however the front containing the cartouche of the pharaoh is still intact. The cartouche is highlighted in black and appears to contain the cartouche of Amenhotep. The vessel measures 2" in height, plus the size of the base. This is a decorated bronze axle hub pin from the Warring States period in ancient China (circa 475 BC). This pin weighs 80 grams and measures just over 8 cm in length. It was recovered from the same site as the decorated axle hub that I have listed (item # 732555) Since it does not quite fit that axle hub, I am selling the two pieces separately. The size and type of this pin are consistent with what would have been used on the listed hub and they would look great displayed together...

This piece is a nice example of a rat-tail dagger from the ancient middle East. It has a subtle, wide midrib and flattened blade. The tang is rectangular. There is no damage or repair to the piece and it is in overall excellent condition. The weight of the piece is 132 grams and the length is roughly 23 cm.
