A vintage necklace in fine twisted silver wire of ancient clay mummy beads and a large faience amulet of Bes, Late period to Roman period, c. 600-100 BC.

Size: 43 mm. for the amulet, the necklace is 29-30 cm. in a double row. Incl. a couple of - probably modern but old - charms in bronze or cobber.

Condition: Nice Very fine and intact.

Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1960s-1980s.

A very large and impressive Wheel-lock pistol, from Suhl, Germany, steel fitted and with ebonized stock, c. early 17th. cent.

Armoury / regimentsmark inlaid in the handle and stamped with Suhl control mark.

Size: 55 cm. long.

Condition: Nice Very fine, faint traces of hairline repair to stock at one place, very nicely done and almost not visible, perhaps from the time of use. Cleaned metal parts, later ramrod, othervise intact and choice.

A lovely and extremely rare, large version of a Wheel-lock pistol in Noble quality, Germany, Augsburg, c. 1570-1580.

With swamped two-stage barrel, struck on the top flat of the octagonal breech with the Augsburg mark (Neue Støckel 1294), and the cock of the fine metal lock is engraved with marine monsters.

Ebonized full stock inlaid with white staghorn or bone panels between horn lines and borders mainly engraved with overlapping foliage and scrollwork...

A really nice and detailed core style cylinder seal, of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, 9th.-7th. cent BC.

The seal depicts the king in a running 'Persian' stance, spearing an Ibex with a short spear or arrow, while holding a sicle-sword in the other hand. A quiver on his back and the star symbol of the Sungod over the Three Of Life.

Interesting and elaborate cylinder seal carved in greyish black stone, with a bearded whorshipper standing before the combined alters of Ashur and Sin or Nabu. Nice Assyro-babylonian style and fine details.

This ushabti figurine is depicted as a worker holding two hoes for work in the fields of Osiris in the afterlife. He is wearing a tripartite wig which falls down between the shoulders. He has an Osiris-type beard which ends in a tight forward curl...
