This piece features a grapevine design around the perimiter with the highlight being the artisan signature on the bottom of the p;iece. 2 5/8" tall by 7 5/8" across the handles. Large Etruscan oinochoe of oval body. The flared neck pinched to form a trefoil shaped mouth.
The cylindrical handle spans from rim to shoulder. Standing on a splayed foot.

This piece is a nice example of a rat-tail dagger from the ancient middle East. It has a subtle, wide midrib and flattened blade. The tang is rectangular. There is no damage or repair to the piece and it is in overall excellent condition. The weight of the piece is 132 grams and the length is roughly 23 cm. This is a great opportunity to acquire a quality antiquity at a reasonable price.

A finely preserved small inscribed foundation cylinder, Neo-Babylonian Empire, c. 8th-6th. century BC.

The barrel shaped piece fully inscribed in Babylonian cuneiform. Untranslated but such cylinders usually has been attributed to Nebucadnezzar II, 604-562 B.C. They were stuck into buidings walls and is often long texts with praises to the builder and the gods, usually a king, just like foundation bricks.

A scarce thinbutted Danish Neolithic silex axe, mid-late 4th mill. BC.

The axe has a rarely seen feature with a carved ring in the middle of the head. Most thinbladed axes doesn't have this kind of fitting, so this specimen must have been fastened to the shaft in a different way than usual. Maybe used as an adze.

Size is 17 cm - 6,7 inches.

Condition: Choice axe, w. smaller chips. Resharpened in antiquity. Beautiful calky, white patina.

This is a very nice bronze dagger or spear blade from the ancient near East - probably from Northern Iran circa 1200 BC or earlier. It has a thin, flat blade with a reinforced midrib. It has a perforation in the tang which is covered by the patina. It also has some slight bending in the blade which is why I have listed it for such a low price. It does not appear to be damaged or repaired in any other way. It measures roughly 23 cm in length and weighs 84 grams.

Ancient Scythian iron short sword-dagger also known as an Akinakes, Acinaces or Akinak, dating back to the 6th-5th century B.C. and was found in the Northern Black Sea Region. It has a sturdy, double-edged tapering blade, a flattened hilt with a ribbed grip, a rectangular and butterfly-shaped guard, and a T-shaped pommel.

Interesting and attractive gold Quatrefoil openwork pendant with small loop at one side and an engraved cross in the center, Roman-Darkage c. 4th.-6th. cent. BC.

Highly interesting stone seal carved in an extremely hard jade-like stone (probably nephrite), Anatolia, found at Mersin, c. 2nd.-1st. millenium BC.

Archais symethric grit pattern in the base, the seal itself of a monolithic shape that could look like an animal head. This is dated by Oberländer to the Pre-Historic period, but we believe it to be a later seal, due to the shape of the seal and the very hard stone used.
