An interesting and rare stamp seal of a triangular form with a carved base and loop, Mesopotamia, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The seal is particularly finely engraved with a horned animal and some interesting 'glyphs' in a freese above. With Egyptian inspiration and probably from the Middle Assyrian period, made close to the Egypt border.

A large and massive thinbutted Danish neolithic offeraxe, dating to Time of the Great Burial Mounts, c. 3500-3000 BC.

An unpolished axe, made with defined seams on the edges. Well proportioned design and attractive, very broad. In Greyish brown Danien flint.

Rare Antique bronze figure of a nude Harpocrates in walking pose, his pointer finger of his right hand resting up against his chin, with red and green patina and textured wear. The figure stands on custom base. Provenance is the Handley Estate.

A very rare and interesting large fragment of a sculptural torquise blue faience vessel with moulded decoration, Egypt, probably Amarna period, 14th. century BC.

The fragment represent up to 40% of what was once a hemispheric low bowl with pseudo handles and black and torquise glaze. Moulded decoration of large snake and the tail of another which would have adorned the other side.

This week I am posting several Bronze Age weapons from the Middle East including a set of 5, very unique, crescent-hilt daggers from the Marlik culture (circa 1000 BC). This is a bangle or disc made from what I believe to be calcite. I am listing this and several other items that were part of the Chad Herrington collection. Very attractive large stamp seal in finely polished black stone, Uruk period of East Anatolia, c. 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

Round seal with elaborately evolving handle from the back and carved with lovely symethric depiction of loops. Quite unique! Described by the collector as Hittite, but the seal is clearly provincial Uruk style.

An impressive polished greystone axe, from the great buriel mounts of Denmark, in the later 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.
