The facial features are simple - almost primitiveness in nature but charmingly expressive. Period: 3rd Century Tibet Size: Height = 10.2 cm Condition: Protruding features have some wear. Has a nice patina which, under magnification, reveals that it had originally been lacquered and gilded.

This authentic antique oil lamp dates back to the Medieval period, specifically to the 11th-12th century AD (391 – 597 AH). This is an interesting silver alloy ring from the mountains of Pakistan or Turkmenistan. It has what appears to be a carnelian intaglio of some sort of 4-legged creature. Rings of these types are allegedly reserved for tribal chieftains or other persons of importance. This ring is fairly large measuring 3.9 cm across its longest axis. The diameter of the opening is 1.8 cm. This piece dates to either the late 19th or early 20th century...

Relief fragment finely carved with a strong Greek aesthetic influence, representing a yakshi in a niche, wearing a diadem, a necklace and a robe, holding a branch with her right hand. Grey schist. Pakistan, Gandharan Greaco-Buddhist art, 1st to 3rd century. Height: 14 cm. The relief is nicely mounted on a custom stand made of green marble. Good condition. Provenance: old British collection.
