Tall Chinese lacquer cabinet with red sides and black front, hand painted with an assortment of gilt butterflies and flowers. Its front features two front opening doors with center locks and two drawers with ring pulls, with interior shelving. Early 20th century.

Altar table from the 19th century mad of ju-mu (elm) wood. Beautifully carved registers adorn the altar. They are carved with bats, deer, fish, and flowers. The drawers have round handles. The cabinet opens into a space with a shelf. It measures 72" wide, 35 tall, 20" deep.
Chinese chair made from precious Zitan (pterocarpus santalinus) wood with a beautiful finish, wicker seat, oriental shapes with dragon heads carved both into the back of the chair and outlining the front and sides of the chair's underside. Dates from the mid 20th century. Very heavy in weight.

DESCRIPTION: A colorfully painted Tibetan chest with four side drawers having leather strap pulls (two drawers on each side). The chest is painted with green floral panels having red floral borders and is supported by short legs. A carved key fret pattern decorates the neck just below the top. Dating from the 19th C, this chest is in good condition with very minor scuffs to paint. DIMENSIONS: 33” high x 28.5” wide x 18”deep.

Unusual form that is very linear and narrow with fine scrolling Apsaras drapes and the panels on the leg apron with a lingzhi motif (a symbol of longevity and a ruyi scepter, meaning "as you wish".

A rosewood box with beautiful grain and very nice patina. Late Qing Dynasty. There are cracks and chips on it, hinges and lock are missing - please refer to photos for detail. Dimensions: 15.5cmX11.5cmX8.5cm.
A nice lacquer screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity. The mirror looks like it is the original mirror.

Condition: No repairs. Normal wear and some age cracks.
A very rare blackwood Hungmu rectangle table in it's original condition. This table has never been restored, has all the original hardware and is in fine condition for its age. Blackwood tables are quite rare.

A large antique Chinese altar table made from Jumu wood. The front of the altar table contains intricate geometrical patterns, images of birds, flowers, and scrolling vine carvings. Interestingly, the top of the table contains repairs where the restorer created patterns of fish and pineapples to fill in holes on the surface of the table. Age: 19th century.
