Pair of 1900's Chinese Agate Carved Wine Cup with Dragon Ears

They are 2 inches (5.1 cm) tall by 4 inches (10.1 cm) wide. Total weight is 155.8 gram.

One cup has a hairline crack at the top rim, and flea bite chips at the bottom. The other cup has small chips at the bottom. They have surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Early to mid 19c light greyish/celadon jade medallion in circular form having a central Kylin surrounded by symbols. Superbly carved and pierced with the finest details with a worked edge having the back indented and smoothly finished. This medallion was probably removed from a cloisonne or bronze wine ewer or censor. This piece is of the finest caliber, showing a wonderful hand polish all the way through and in perfect condition. Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a pair of peanuts with leaves and vines growing out of their top, and a small chimera crawling along the bottom with its legs and tails pointed upwards. Peanuts are called "huasheng" in Chinese, and are considered a lucky charm for those wishing to have many children as "sheng" means "giving birth".
