Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) pottery jar with splayed neck and everted rim covered overall with an iridescent green lead glaze. Characteristic kiln support remnants are on the base and mouth. 5 1/2" high x about 5” diameter. Very good overall condition. This jar is from an Arizona collection. It was purchased in 1996 from Lam’s Gallery in Hong Kong.

Lovely pottery small lead glazed stove from the Eastern Han Dynasty (202 BCE – 220 CE). There is original flaw in one of the pots on top and a minor glaze chip on the upper edge but otherwise excellent condition with a lot of lead glazed silver paraffin patina on the whitish surface. Small northern Song Dynasty celadon plate decorated with lotus leaf pattern to underside. In good condition other than some wear to glaze due to use and age and small chip to glaze on rim. Nice symmetrical shape. Diameter: 5.50 inches; Height: 1.50 inches.

Unusual pottery bowl with hand molded snake handle. I cannot find any pieces similar in style to this although the reddish clay and heavy potting are reminiscent of Hongshan pottery. This came out of China and has a good petrichor and water absorption on the base, very old- at least 2000 to 3000 years old but probably older. W: 14cm/5.5in and H: 12cm/4.7in.
Small ceramic cup of celadon color, with crackled glazing. China, Ming Dynasty. Diameter: 12,2 cm. Height: 3.3 cm. Slight abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

Han Dynasty, Late 200 BCE – 200 CE
This jar is well-potted pinkish-orange earthenware that is covered in a deep green glaze that has degraded in places and developed iridescence from burial. The base is unglazed, as is the interior, revealing the place orange earthenware clay body. There are three spur marks on the rim from stacking in the firing. There are no cracks or restorations.
Height: 5 7/8 in., Diameter: 6 ¼ in.
Chinese unglazed pottery jar with impressed, cross-hatch decoration, four lug handles and flat base. 5 1/4” high x 6 3/4” diameter. Warring States period (475-221 B.C.) or possibly earlier. Very good overall condition with typical wear and soiling. From the private collection of a former American expatriate to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.
