Up for sale is an antique Chinese silk chair cover tapestry, vibrant red color silk and wool ground embroidered with Chinese auspicious objects, Ruyi scepter, golden pheasants, peonies, bats, peaches, magnolia, and lotus foliage, using with silk floss and gold threads; back with red silk brocade with longevity symbols. Tapestry is excellent condition. No wear or damage. Measurements: Height 63", width 19".

Adorable embroidered silk children's jacket. Considering the elaborate embroidery on both sides this was probably a festival jacket. China, late 19th/early 20th century. Dimensions: H. 35 cm , W. 83 cm. Condition: expected wear, discoloring, stains and a few holes in the silk top layer. The glass eyes of the dragon on the back are missing.

Front enclosure to the right with 4 large gilt toggle-and-loop buttons. The robe is in excellent condition, vibrant colors! Measurements : 54" from collar to bottom, 22" between arm pits, 78" across shoulders when stretched open, 50" when folded, bottom width 35".

Wonderful satin stitch embroidery of flowers and butterflies decorate this charming antique Chinese Miao baby hat. The front has 4 silver Buddha ornaments and the back sports the traditional Miao ornament of a butterfly with dangling bells to protect the child from evil spirits. The hat is softly padded to keep baby's head warm.

Decorating each side of the headband are mirror images of an ornament depicting a bird and using the prized Kingfisher bird feathers. Vest made of tiny bamboo beads and all hand-strung with cotton threads. It was worn till early 20th century (Quin Dynasty) as an underwear of silk garments, especially in the southern China or neighboring countries. It made a wearer keep cool and avoid the outer garment wetting by sweat. Generally in good condition but almost 30 beads are missing. 19th to early 20th century. 48cm x 52cm
