Chinese rare Sancai glazed pottery figure of a standing horse. The saddle pad is glazed with four colors including a rare blue. The saddle itself is covered with a vermillion slip and naturalistically modeled with sweeping folds of fabric. Most exquisite is the graceful arching of the horses neck, the slight turn of the perfectly proportioned head, and one whimsically turned back ear. With TL test papers.

Her interesting looped hairdo is parted into two bunches that rest atop the sides of her head. The figure has most of the original pigments, some of which have worn off over the years.Very difficult to find one that has not been restored. A rare jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry.
