1930's Chinese 18K Gold Jadeite Carved Hairpin Marked "天興"

Chinese Qing dynasty Kangxi marked monochrome beehive form water coupe (taibo zun) covered overall in a copper red glaze. The slightly recessed flat base and interior are white. The base holds an apocryphal underglaze blue six-character Kangxi reign mark written in three columns. 19th century Chinese scholar’s bronze seal, its top in a form of a scholar riding a horse. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo (image is flipped left to right to present the image as it will print on paper). Very well cast and finished, beautiful patina, has good presence. Marked with the maker’s seal on top of the base. Height 1.9 inches, base 1.3 x 1.28 inches.

Vintage Chinese silver pin in a shape of a mythical animal. Judging by the flame like mane it is possibly a huodou - a large black dog that can emit flames from its mouth. Very good crisp work, in great condition. There is no hallmark, but I am confident that the metal is silver. Weight 5.7 grams, length 1.25 inches.

Spherical boxes in bronze (or copper) cloisonné in relief. The wires isolate the relief lotus flower decoration, leaving free spaces of enamel between the motifs which is an unusual, more complex technique. The fact of not completely filling the partitions with enamel weakens those which are at the edge of the decor. The wires must be welded and not simply glued before enameling, which is more difficult...

Soapstone pot. Sculpted decoration of a landscape animated by characters. In certain places, openwork crosses the walls. The cylindrical pot rests on three feet carved from the mass, it is covered with an openwork wooden lid, topped by a soapstone grip representing lotuses. It is possible that it is an incense burner, which would explain the presence of the Openworks for the evacuation of smoke and good ventilation, put into operation it has a very nice effect...
