This is a very nice Edo period cotton indigo dyed cotton kimono for children. This is yokote Kasuri.Patterns such as bangasa (umbrella), turtles,willow. There are some stains and some repair marks on the shoulder ridge. However, it is an unused / stored item. The color and scent of indigo dye remains firmly. Antique uchishiki, Japanese alter cloth, embroidered on silk satin with Chinese theme, “The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove”. Probably from late 18th to mid 19th century. 26 3/8" x 25" (67cm x 63 1/2cm).

Condition: This is a beautiful antique textile even with some obvious damage and wear, still solid with a thick cotton backing. The wear is seen particularly on both ends of the design. This quality of needle work is seldom seen.

Beautiful antique Japanese large covering originally used in a Buddhist temple. Three deep blue silk panels sewn together and woven with gold in design of 18 chrysanthemums and 18 floral roundels. Chrysanthemums with 32 petals, back is lined with a light blue cotton.

This is thick hemp Noren of the Meiji period. As for this, words are dyed with black dye. The words are written as Mensa. Probably I think this to be an item of the business to sell noodles. This is Swan 's wing Weave haori coat very rare at the end of bakumatsu of Edo period(1852-1867). This was made in the Tohoku region.
