Painted in ink and color on silk, mountain village with a scholar’s crossing a bridge toward home. It’s in fine condition, measures 44.5” h. x 13” d. (113cm x 33cm) painting only, or 81 1/4" x 17 1/4" overall.

Antique Korean large blue and white porcelain jar, with a long, oval shaped body. Cobalt underglaze sparrows and pomegranates on branches decorate the body, with a collar of ruyi motifs along the base of the neck. The foot has a single ring above it in cobalt blue. Choson Dynasty 19th century.

Unusual pair of Korean inlaid black lacquer ichung nong stacking chests on stands. The interior of each section is lined in original blue paper. The front Nong has a brass plate in the form of a butterfly with complete circle knob brass locks and key and brass butterfly hinges on each door. Each chest is detailed on top, front, and sides with highly intricate mother of pearl inlay scenes of fishermen on boats, beautiful women, deer, rabbits, travelers riding donkeys, and vast landscape scenes...

Antique Korean scholar's low table. Its top pair of panels are book matched of persimmon wood, with a boxwood frame. The inner compartment still shows traces of ink; The opposite compartment would hold brushes. The drawer has a wonderful persimmon cover that continues to the order of the low table. The low writing implement table has an inverted key fret leg and internal low shelf of boxwood.

Korean two-unit stacked chest (ichung nong) with beautiful persimmon wood front panels, and a fruitwood frame. brass hardware, four rectangular top drawers with brass bat-shaped handles, and a set of hinged drawers on each unit with a large brass butterfly lock in the center and brass butterfly hinges. The Korean word for 'bat' is a homophone for the Chinese word for 'good fortune', so bats are considered a good luck charm, and butterflies represent happiness...

The box is decorated with “double happiness characters on two sides with the portion in-between filled with stylized butterflies and foliage with a continuous floral band encircling the lower portion. A Fine Blue and White Porcelain Globular Jar: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century The small jar of globular form resting on a ring foot and with an upright neck ending in a straight cut lip, painted in underglaze blue with two Buddha hands around the body, below a color of clouds, the clear glaze thick wih a blue tinges. It has two chips around the rim, otherwise fine condition with a clean foot. Measurements; 14cm h. x 15.2cm d. (5 1/2” x 6”).
