Antique Japanese bronze vase with a rectangular form, a raised horizontal line running along its very middle with the image of a taotie motif (jawless face/ogre). It has long, slender side handles curling at the bottom and forming into a face at its very top and its neck and base are fluted outwards. Meiji period (1868-1912)

A well balance potted Qingbai vase. Of unusual shape, pear-shaped body, with a gently flaring neck flanked by small moulded handles, supported on a tall foot, with a moulded flattened section emanating from the middle of the foot, the body applied on one side with a raised decoration of a flower spray, covered overall in a greenish white glaze. Song dynasty 12th-13th century in perfect condition. Height: 14.6cm.
This unique and stylish bronze vase has a beautiful shape. Two charming elephant trunks extend from the neck of vase on either side with a floral, geometric background. Near base, Japanese Taotie, ogre-like characters, and curvy designs spread around the vase, adding intriguing detail. Vase also includes a copper inset that can be removed.

Antique Japanese iron tsuba or hand guard for a sword, in a mokko or melon shape, decorated with motifs of thin tree branches with plums and blossoms, with silver and Shokudo inlay, and an engraved sun in the top corner. The backside has a small cluster of plums inlaid with silver.

Antique monochrome bowl with a beautiful deep peach bloom glaze and a clear over glaze. Inside this porcelain bowl is light bluish- white coloring. Bottom of bowl models a round foot. Edges of the bowl shows are the blue-white as well. From the 18th-19th century.

Japanese antique tansu chest for storage of paper, made of kiri (paulownia) wood, nine drawers of different sizes (3 long, 3 medium, and 3 small), iron hardware with warabite shaped drawer pulls, two of the smaller drawers have lock plates, wonderful side hardware with handles for carrying, kiri wood has nice grain and beautiful natural over all patina, Late Edo Period (c1850)

Used antique Chinese inkstone with a carving of a peach at its most shallow point. Peaches are said to be heavenly fruit that promote longevity. It comes within a dark hardwood box with a beautiful shine.

Its spout has the form of a dragon's head with a ball in its mouth, with a nice green patina formed around the opening. Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. Flower like details in bronze circle the top of lid. Inscription inside lid reads Ryubundo, the noted studio produced iron tea kettles.

Antique bronze Japanese hibachi displays eight beautiful panels of scholars in tranquil traditional garden scenes. Two fu dog faces are displayed to grab as handles Raised cartouche signing characteristically on bottom of hibachi reads "Shoryu" This piece is from the Meiji period.
